Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you move through their pages. Cookies are widely used and generally harmless — most websites you visit will use them in some form.
This page explains which cookies the Bayu Labs website (bayulabs.cyou) uses, why we use them, and how you can choose whether to accept them.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, build advertising profiles, or sell your data. Our cookies fall into three categories:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are needed for the website to work correctly. Without them, parts of the site — such as your cookie preference — would not function. You cannot turn these off, but they do not collect any information about you that could be used for marketing.
Functional Cookies
These cookies remember small preferences you set during your visit, such as whether you have dismissed a notice. They make repeat visits slightly more comfortable. They do not track you across websites.
Analytics Cookies
These cookies collect anonymised information about how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are visited most often and how people arrive at the site. We use this to understand what is working well and what we might improve. The data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.
3. Cookies We Use
The table below lists the specific cookies currently in use on our website.
| Cookie Name | Category | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
bl_cookie_consent |
Strictly Necessary | 12 months | Remembers whether you have accepted or dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not appear on every visit. |
_ga |
Analytics | 24 months | Used by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors. Stores a randomly generated identifier — no personal information is stored. |
_ga_* |
Analytics | 24 months | Used by Google Analytics 4 to maintain session state across page views. |
_gid |
Analytics | 24 hours | Used by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors on a short-term basis within a single day. |
We review this list regularly. If we add or remove cookies, this page will be updated.
4. Third-Party Services
Our analytics cookies are processed by Google Analytics, which is operated by Google LLC. Google may store and process this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We have configured Google Analytics to anonymise IP addresses and not share data for Google's advertising products.
Our website also embeds a Google Maps iframe to display our office location. Google Maps may set its own cookies when you interact with the map. These are outside our control and governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not use any advertising, social media tracking, or remarketing cookies.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
5.1 On our website
When you first visit our website, a small notice at the bottom of the screen invites you to accept or decline optional cookies. Your choice is saved and the notice will not appear again during that browser session. You can reset your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies (see below).
5.2 In your browser
All modern browsers allow you to view, block, and delete cookies. The steps vary by browser. Here are links to guidance for common browsers:
Please note that blocking all cookies may affect how some parts of our website display or function.
5.3 Opting out of Google Analytics
You can prevent Google Analytics from tracking your visits across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This works in most desktop browsers.
6. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, our website uses your browser's local storage to save your cookie preference. Local storage is similar to cookies in that it stores small pieces of text in your browser, but unlike cookies it is not sent to our server with each page request.
You can clear local storage the same way you clear cookies — through your browser's privacy or history settings.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we change the cookies we use or the way we use them. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will change. We recommend checking this page occasionally if you want to stay informed.
We will not add new optional cookies without updating this policy first.
8. Questions
If you have questions about how we use cookies, or about your privacy more generally, please get in touch. We are happy to explain anything in plain terms.
You also have the right to raise concerns about data handling with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) of Singapore.
